Dr. Andrew Whittington is a doctor of osteopathic medicine specializing in internal medicine. He is based in Oxford, Mississippi, and serves patients throughout North Mississippi. A Mississippi Delta native, Dr. Whittington is thrilled to be back in his home state to care for fellow Mississippians. He joined Baptist Medical Group in 2020.

Dr. Reed Davis specializes in internal medicine and is a core faculty member of the Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi internal medicine residency. He was born and raised in Mississippi and returned to the state after completing his residency. He now calls Oxford home with his wife and two daughters.

Dr. Sumner Abraham is the Chief Medical Operating Officer at Relias Healthcare and a core faculty member for Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. He is an adjunct instructional assistant professor in the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College at the University of Mississippi, where he teaches bioethics and healthcare finance. He is also an adjunct clinical faculty member with William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine and Baptist Health Sciences University. Dr. Abraham is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and is an active member of both the American College of Physician Advisors and the Mississippi Rural Health Association. Dr. Abraham and his wife Sarah, along with their three children are all thrilled to call Oxford home.

Damian Mercier M.D.

Dr. Mercier is a board-certified member of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Mississippi native and  a core faculty member of the internal medicine residency program at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. Dr. Mercier also sees patients in both the clinic and at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. In his free time, he can be found playing with his dog, Polo, or in The Grove on game days.

Estefania Lara Garcia M.D.

Dr. Estefania Lara Garcia received her medical degree in her home country of Venezuela. She later emigrated to the United States to continue her education. She completed an internship with the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the body responsible for accrediting all graduate medical training programs for physicians in the United States, where she collaborated with scholars in residency programs and participated in qualitative research for resident well-being. She completed residency training at Southern Illinois University and developed a strong passion for academic medicine. As a resident physician, Dr. Lara Garcia was awarded the Sergio Rabinovich M.D. Award in recognition of outstanding performance. She moved to Oxford, Mississippi and joined the core faculty in the Graduate Medical Education department at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Her special areas of interest in clinical practice and research include health disparities, resident well-being and obesity.
